Terms of Service
Effective July 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of KOLO — the color studio at usekolo.app and its companion Figma plugin. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
KOLO lets you generate color palettes and gradients, build design-token systems, preview them, and export them — to files, to GitHub repositories you connect, and to Figma via our plugin. Features may evolve, improve, or be retired as the product develops.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and for keeping its credentials safe. You must provide a valid email address, and you must be legally able to enter into these terms. If we detect abuse, we may suspend or terminate accounts to protect the service and its users.
Your content
Palettes, gradients, and color systems you create are yours. By saving content to KOLO you grant us the license needed to store and display it back to you and — only if you publish it to the trend feed — to display it publicly within KOLO. Unpublishing or deleting content ends that public display. Color values themselves are facts; nothing in these terms stops anyone from using a color.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other people's accounts; don't use KOLO to distribute malware or unlawful content; don't scrape or resell the service. That's it — make things.
Third-party services
Sign-in with Google, the GitHub integration, and the Figma plugin depend on those platforms, which have their own terms. We're not responsible for their availability or changes to their APIs, though we'll do our best to adapt when they change.
Disclaimers
KOLO is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. While our token engine aims for WCAG-compliant contrast by construction, you are responsible for verifying accessibility and fitness of exported values in your own products. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Termination
You can stop using KOLO and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the effective date above and announce material changes in the product; continued use after changes means you accept them.
